The Dive Master Course is the first step in your diving career to gain supervision Scuba Diving abilities, take charge of dive activities and assist with Scuba classes.
The course includes:
- Diver safety and risk management
- Supervising dive activities and assisting with student divers
- Divemaster conducted programs and specialized skills
- The role and characteristics of the PADI Divemaster
- Dive setup and management
- Awareness of the dive environment
- Conducting dive briefings
- Organizing a search and recovery project and a deep dive
- Conducting a scuba review and skin diver course
- Assisting with Discover Scuba Diving and leading Discover Local Diving programs
Time Commitment
Approximately 50 hours
Prerequisites:
- 18 years or over
- Medical clearance to dive
- Rescue Diver
- 40 logged dives
- CPR and First Aid certification within 24 months
